The Journey

30 Mar

Momma always raised me to do my best.  This is something I have tried to live by.  Everyday, as far back as I can remember, I have woken up with the intention of making an effort to be a bit better than I was yesterday.  As I have aged, I’ve realized that it takes real concerted effort to create true change.  At certain points in life I’ve wanted this or that to be different about myself, but not until recently have I truly been happy with who I am.  Of course, everything and everyone that has played a role in my journey has helped shape who I am, and it’s the journey that will continue to shape who I will be.

I have played around with the idea of starting a blog for a number of years now.  Once after the 20 week ultrasound with son #2 when we found out he would have Spina Bifida, in 2008 when my husband and I decided to make changes to live a healthier lifestyle, periodically since then after finding another blog to be addicted to, and then this last year while my family and I truly discovered our faith.  I’ve always allowed some excuse to keep me from actually pulling the trigger.  This time the credit goes to my husband for continually reminding me that this is something I want to do, said I would do, and that he has committed to doing along with me.

This year I turned 31 and though my age doesn’t bother me, that the number continues to increase reminds me  that there is still so much I want to do.  So, I am jumping in and starting my very own blog!

What do I have to write about?  The journey of my life, of making me new- mind, body, spirit, something I am powerless to do alone.  The journey of my life with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
